Interlocking pool deck paving stones are an excellent substitution to the cracking and lifting concrete that many Southern California backyards are experiencing. A brand new deck of pool paving stones means you will enjoy years of low-maintenance, slip resistant, cracking free hardscape that your family and friends will enjoy.
We encourage you to visit our pool paver showroom where we offer a vast array of sizes, shapes, color tones and textures to choose from. One of our ICPI trained remodeling specialists will be able to help you select the best one for your backyard.
It’s difficult to put a price on quality, but we believe you get what you pay for with pool pavers and hardscapes. With plenty of ways to cut corners, we never compromise on our craftsmanship. We may not be the least expensive pool pavers contractor, but we guarantee we will do the work right the first time at a fair price.
We made our name in the pool resurfacing industry with our exceptional quality. We carry over the same mentality of precision and attention to detail on our pool paver projects. Whether its cutting a paver to fit perfectly next to the pool coping or grading the lot at the correct slope to keep the water from puddling, we manage the details as if the project was our own backyard.
As founding members of the National Plasterer’s Council, we believe in being involved in our industry as leaders and continuing our professional education. We are proud members of the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute. The ICPI holds its members to a higher standard of installation practices. We have also earned the trust of Belgard to earn the title of Belgard Authorized Installer.
This is a great question that we hear from time to time. The fact is that we used to work side by side with many masonry and decking contractors. Unfortunately for our customers, the quality of the paver work didn’t always match the quality of the pool plaster, tile and coping that we had installed. One of the issues we would constantly see were improper sloping of the decks. The decks would slope into the pool or sometimes back to the home! Another shortcut taken was when the contractor would lay the paver right onto a bed of sand without first putting in properly compacted road base. This would result in settling or sinking of the pavers! Most of these contractors were used to working on square or rectangle driveways that don’t require a high skill level. The detail work required around a pool was something they were not accustomed to. So, into 2007, Alan made a decision to offer masonry, concrete, and pavers to his customers with the intention of installing these products the “Alan Smith way”. This is when Alan brought Scott Raze on board who has over 35 years of experience in hardscape, concrete, pavers, masonry and general construction experience. In fact, he and his crews have installed over 1,000,000 square feet of pavers. Even though we might have started as a “Pool Contractor”, we are also accomplished Hardscape and Paver contractors.
All paver work is handled professionally with exceptional quality. As members of the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) we hold our work to a higher level of standards. We use a systematic approach when it comes to installing pavers and we DO NOT take shortcuts! At Alan Smith Pools we believe in the quality of our work and assure our work will be done right the first time, because your backyard is as important to you as it is to us. Our step by step process is performed by certified and experienced installers, starting from step one to nine.
